Erosion of memory: The electroacoustic work draws its inspiration from the unique and rich universe of a media library, a place where collective and individual memory is preserved and transformed. The media library, as a meeting place for users and knowledge, becomes a living witness to the constant erosion and reconstruction of memory. The work explores this phenomenon using sounds captured on site: the murmurs of readers, the sound of pages being turned, the 'beeps' of scanned documents, even hushed conversations. These sounds, like fragments of memory, have been extremely transformed and recombined with electronic sounds whose source is no longer recognisable, to create an introspective electroacoustic composition with a blurred understanding.
